St Aubin Agricole 1819 Vanilla rum 50 cl

This is the St Aubin 50% infused with vanilla, sugar cane syrup is added which reduces it down to 40% abv.  The vanilla pods used in the preparation of this rhum come from St Aubins own vanilla plantations. 

The nose is rich and luscious and abundant with vanilla.  On the palate the vanilla is upfront with agricole notes still coming through.  The sweetness balances the rum out completely and makes for a wonderful sipping vanilla rum over ice or perfect in a vanilla daiquiri.

Cocktails:

Rhum Brulée

• 25 ml St Aubin Vanilla Rhum
• 12.5 ml Frangelico
• 12.5 ml Cointreau
• 50 ml Double cream
• 5 ml Vanilla Syrup

Shake all ingredients and serve into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with caramel shavings.

VANILLA DAIQUIRI

• 2 Shots of St Aubin Vanilla
• ½ shot of freshly squeezed lime juice
• ¼ shot of gomme syrup
• ¾ chilled mineral water

Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass.

 

Espresso Daiquiri

 

• 2 Shots of St Aubin Vanilla
• 1 ¾ shot of cold espresso coffee
• ½ shot of gomme syrup

Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled glass.

VANILLA MOJITO

• 12 Fresh mint leaves
• 2 Shots of St Aubin Vanilla
• ¾ Freshly squeezed lime juice
• ¼ Shot of Gomme Syrup
• Dash of soda water

Lightly muddle mint in base of glass. Add Rum, lime juice and sugar. Half fill glass with crushed ice and stir with bar spoon. Fill glass with more crushed ice and stir some more. Top with soda, stir and serve with straw.
